My wonderful guest, Matthew Karchner, speaks about his past as a homosexual practicing a gay lifestyle to come to Christ to turn his life around. He is now a brother in Christ and joined the Body of Christ more than twelve years ago.
Matthew talks about his story of having authored two books, Straight and Straight 2. He is writing his third book, Straight 3, about his struggles as a Christian and the church. We also discuss the LGBTQ culture and the transgender movement. Matthew's critical statement was that when he became a believer in the Lord, his eyes were opened, and he was given a choice to reject his fleshly desires when tempted. His thoughts of a gay man did not define who he was and is now.
If God can reach and save Matthew from his sinful lifestyle as a gay man, God can snatch you away from evil and Satan's grip to steal, kill, and destroy your life. The Bible says to resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 KJV.
Therefore, when confronted with homosexual thoughts or confusion about gender identity, you must resist and let the devil flee from you. All things will pass, and you will become as God designed you to be if you let Him guide you away from evil and demonic temptations.
Today, Matthew lives an exciting and active life, having traveled worldwide and sharing the gospel to do his missionary work. He now lives in Cambodia with his wife.
