#70 Jesus Is The Trinity With Pastor Dennis Beard

Welcoming Pastor Dennis Beard to explain Jesus as one Godhead to represent Himself, the Father, and the Holy Spirit as one. He explains that the Trinity doctrine falsely states Jesus as one of the three distinct and separate Godheads rather than one God.

Jesus is one God to represent different functions of Himself. God came to dwell with men in the flesh rather than an invisible spirit. Jesus was born in the flesh of a woman. The Father is also Jesus, God who exists in spirit. He created all things by His spoken Word to describe who He is and what He represents-the truth and purity of His glorious existence.

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 KJV.

Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God, He created them; male and female, He created them. Genesis 1:26-27 MEV.

The words “our image” alludes to representing the trinity; however, God created man in His image to be a singular Godhead.

In the book of John, God reveals that the Word of God is God, and then He became flesh as Jesus,

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 KJV.

Jesus revealed Himself as the Holy Spirit to dwell in us after He left us for a little while upon His death on the cross. The fleshly God was killed by men, even though He came to save them. It seems that men are constantly running away from God to glorify themselves from the beginning to the end of Bible history. Despite this, God still loves us to continue to save us from death and destruction. His mercy is shown consistently throughout His Word.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV.

The Holy Spirit has a different function from the same God who lives inside us to be the truth, a comforter, and a helper. No longer God remained separated from us but began living inside us as one. No person or object is needed to intercede between God and us. Once we believed and got baptized in the faith, the Holy Spirit, i.e., Jesus became one flesh with us; just like when a man and woman become one flesh in marriage. We married God, in essence, to become one flesh with Him.

Thus, Jesus is one God revealed throughout the Bible. The finality of God’s story in the book of Revelation is a revelation of Jesus and His return to restore all things.

Jesus said,

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

This verse alone says that He is all One from beginning to end. Throughout the Bible, Jesus revealed Himself and His character as one God. From the beginning of His story, God created the Earth for man to dwell in with Him, as told in Genesis. Adam and Eve sinned into death and decay. Their story is the same as all of ours. We are all Adam and Eve to have sinned against God. God then gave Himself as a sacrifice to redeem us from our fallen state to dwell with Him again and restore all things lost in the Garden of Eden, as told in the book of Revelation. The circle of sin and death is completed to restoration and eternity from Genesis to Revelation. We are restored to God, as Jesus originally intended in the Garden of Eden.

Pastor Beard does a great job of explaining Jesus as the one and only God in detail. You can learn more about his works at his website, dennisbeard.org, and his sermons on his YouTube channel, Sealing God's People.
